OLED, KVM & lower prices make MSI’s new Mac-friendly monitor lineup hard to ignore

MSI is targeting gaps Apple still hasn’t addressed in its Studio Display with a new lineup of OLED and IPS monitors that add integrated KVM support, high refresh rates, and USB-C docking features for Mac users.

The company targets Mac users seeking premium external displays without paying $1,599 for Apple’s Studio Display. MSI’s Pro Max lineup includes $149.99 IPS displays and a $709.99 white QD-OLED model optimized for MacBook workflows and creative setups.

The flagship Pro Max 271UPXW12G features a 27-inch 4K QD-OLED panel with dual USB-C ports, integrated KVM support, and up to 98W USB-C power delivery for single-cable MacBook setups. MSI’s new “DarkArmor” technology enhances black levels and contrast for editing and design work.

The monitor also carries Pantone validation and Delta-E color accuracy ratings for professional editing, color grading, and design workflows. MSI says the display delivers 166 pixels per inch and supports 120Hz refresh rates with Adaptive-Sync support.
