It’s not clear from reporting so far whether the Tata plant in India is the same one in Hosur, Tamil Nadu that has recently come under fire for allegedly contaminating local water. What is known, according to Reuters, is that the stolen data includes 33 files and folders relating to Hosur.
“A few weeks ago, Tata Electronics identified a cybersecurity incident on some of our systems,” said a Tata Electronics spokesperson. “Our response protocols were deployed immediately, and the incident has had no impact on our operations across businesses, which remain unaffected.”
