Among the various product identifiers discovered in macOS Tahoe 26.7 release candidate code, the AirPods with cameras were present. Deeper in the code still was a seemingly-forgotten demo video of a user accessing Visual Intelligence while wearing AirPods Pro.
Many were quick to jump to the conclusion that these could enable creepy actions like those perpetrated while wearing Meta smart glasses. However, rumors suggest these AirPods with cameras won’t take photos at all.
