Apple Watch Series 12 is easier to repair, Apple Watch Ultra 4 remains unchanged

A teardown of the Apple Watch Series 12 reveals two repair-friendly changes, but the same can’t be said for the Apple Watch Ultra 4 and its internals.

With the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra, Apple introduced a revamped health sensing system, better battery life, and a more powerful S11 chip. Design-wise, however, the two models are effectively the same as their predecessors, inside and out.

It’s safe to say that Apple used tried-and-true designs, at the expense of potential repairability improvements.
