There’s been a project on Reddit using generative coding tools to crank out Nvidia Metal graphics drivers for Hackintosh projects and Intel PCI-E macs running Sequoia, and it finally been released to the public. For now, it’s limited to the Nvidia 5060 card, but expansions are expected.
The developer says that the driver is built on Mesa’s NVK Vulkan driver, and “desktop, Metal 3, apps, and games all run on the NVIDIA card.” There is also a setup app to assist with the driver installation. Be aware that this is a very early effort, there are issues, and zero Apple Silicon compatibility.
