iPadOS 27 breaks the ability to keep a presentation on screen while using other apps

Presenting over AirPlay in iPadOS 27 risks exposing private windows to your audience whenever you switch apps. There’s no fix, and it may be a “feature.”

iPadOS 27 AirPlay change exposes private windows

AirPlay in iPadOS 27 now shows the entire iPad screen when presenters switch apps, potentially revealing private notes. This replaces the presentation on the external display with windows the presenter may not intend to share.

The behavior occurs with multiple windows open, whether or not Stage Manager is enabled. Tapping outside the presenting app exposes other content.
