German musician Cro claims Apple has a secret deal to blur his face in photos without his mask. The rapper claiming that Apple has this so-called privacy feature for celebs is pure theater.

In an October 2025 YouTube Short posted by GQ Germany, Cro explains that he’s rarely recognized in public. When it happens, he says he’s happy, but he insists photos of him without the mask simply don’t work.
“I made a deal with Apple,” he says in the video. “If anyone tries to take a photo of me without the mask, it automatically blacks out. You don’t see anything.”
