Apple will provide aid to victims of devastating back-to-back earthquakes in Venezuela

Apple CEO Tim Cook has said the company will donate to relief efforts after a pair of earthquakes ravaged northern Venezuela.

On Wednesday evening, a pair of earthquakes, known as a doublet, struck Venezuela’s northern coast. The first was a 7.2 magnitude quake, followed by a magnitude 7.5 quake less than one minute later, according to the Associated Press.

The earthquakes have left thousands of people injured and have killed at least 589 people at the time of publication. As expected, Cook took to X to announce that the company would be donating to relief efforts on the ground.
