First Apple Store outside the US relocates back to its original location

Apple Ginza will soon close the temporary location that it has occupied for years, and return to the Tokyo site where it was first opened back in 2003.

For three years, Apple Ginza has been a eco-friendly, boutique-style store which AppleInsider visited in 2023. But that store was officially a temporary one, established when Apple Ginza’s original site was scheduled for demolition.

Now Apple has announced that the store is to relocate to a new building on the original site, describing the move (in translation), as “a new story with you.”
