Apple finally gave the Mac a dedicated Phone app with macOS 26, also called macOS Tahoe. For the first time, phone calls feel like a proper feature on the desktop instead of a hidden trick buried inside FaceTime.

The app looks like its iPhone counterpart, and more importantly, it works like one too. The idea is straightforward — your Mac becomes a big speakerphone for your iPhone.
