When Apple updated its Apple Silicon lineup to include a few models with the M5 chip in October, the 14-inch MacBook was one of the lucky few. For those who wanted more cores, the M4 Pro and M4 Max were still around as higher-performance options.
Months later, and Apple has done the inevitable by bringing out the M5 Pro and M5 Max. With the entire 14-inch MacBook Pro range now on the M5 series, the choice between models no longer needs to account for a generational change.
