After weeks of testing, Apple has released macOS Golden Gate 27.2. Officially it’s a minor release, but under the hood changes are preparing the way for touch-screen Macs.

As previously revealed during the beta testing period, macOS 27.2 has introduced a cosmetic change to Apple Music. It’s part of a wider rebrand that includes a new video sting for music productions. Now that macOS 27.2 has been released as the official current OS for the Mac, there are a few visual changes.
Apple Music’s logo and refreshed color scheme is the most visible update, with the old red highlights being replaced by blue. But there are also changes to the volume and brightness controls.
