Apple productsTernus reiterated the 2.5 billion figure while discussing Apple’s fiscal fourth-quarter results. Although the installed base continues to grow, the company didn’t provide a more precise updated device count.
Apple first surpassed 2.5 billion devices in January 2026, up roughly 150 million from the 2.35 billion reported in 2025.
The installed base includes active iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and other products. It measures devices rather than individual customers, meaning someone who owns multiple Apple products contributes more than one device to the total.
