The ninth-gen iPad nears fire-sale territory with a drop to $199

“Never say never.” I know, but I’m not sure if Apple’s ninth-gen iPad is going to get any cheaper than this before it’s outright gone. That’s because after dropping to consecutive all-time lows of $229 and then $224, the tablet from 2021 with 64GB of storage is now selling for just $199 ($130 off) at Amazon and $199.99 at Best Buy. The 256GB configuration is also $130 off at Amazon and Best Buy.

There’s really only so much to say about this long-running iPad that Apple finally dropped from its lineup earlier this year (and simultaneously gave the newer 10th-gen model a much needed price cut, slotting it in at the entry-level position).
